Jaxter Labs exists to take software from idea to product. It holds a portfolio of ventures, each one originated in-house: a problem identified, a prototype built, and an engineering effort sustained long enough to turn it into something durable.

The work is invention first and operation second — new products rather than commissioned ones.

HomeCommand is a record of the equipment in a house — the furnace, the water heater, the air conditioning — built for the years between buying a home and selling it. It reads the nameplate on a unit from a photograph, tracks what is under warranty and what is due for service, and reads a contractor’s written quote back to the homeowner: what the document says, what it never mentions, and where its price sits against quotes other homeowners were given.
